A New Study Says A Glass Of Red Wine Equals An Hour At The Gym

What if you could skip an entire session of the gym, go home, pour a glass of wine and still get all the same benefits? Well guess what, according to a report from Huffington Post there is a study that shows that when you pour yourself a glass of red wine, this can actually happen.

It all starts off with Resveratrol, this is the main ingredient in red wine and it is a main contributor to the various health benefits you get. According to the study, it can help to improve your muscle strength as well as your physical performance. On top of this, it can benefit the heart, and these are all the same benefits you get when you exercise.

A researcher on the study stated that Resveratrol showed results that were comparable to what you would see when someone undergoes an intensive endurance regime. He even went on to say that Resveratrol could actually help those who can’t exercise because they are physically incapable, not to mention that it could also contribute to the exercise that you do.

There has been a lot of hype over the last few years over the benefits of red wine and most of it is actually backed by some really interesting research. This could end up giving some major boosts to the fitness industry if this continues and who knows what other things we could find out about this much-loved beverage!
