A Colony of Bees Turns an Abandoned Truck Into a Hidden Hive

A colony of bees was discovered living inside a Harvester Scout that had been sitting unused for years, transported all the way from Houston to Jacksonville. Remarkably, the bees had made their way into the vehicle through rust holes in the quarter panel, building a thriving hive within its frame.

After the video was filmed, the bees were safely and non-lethally removed and relocated to a new hive, where they continue to thrive. The panel that had to be cut open to reach the bees has since been replaced, leaving the truck restored – and the bees with a fresh start.

This incredible discovery is a powerful reminder of how adaptable and resourceful bees can be. Building such an elaborate hive in such an unlikely place, completely unassisted, is nothing short of amazing. Bees truly are extraordinary creatures.
