A Dutch healthcare provider has changed maternity care for the better by creating their very own baby bassinets.
Gelderse Vallei had an extended stay with the hospital and she has explained how important it is to keep both the mother and the child close, especially if the mother requires longer in hospital. With this new invention, the mother and the child can touch each other without having a nurse present.
Breastfeeding is also much easier because the baby is always close, and this is especially the case if the woman has to have a caesarean. If the mother can’t move or is immobile for more than a couple of days, this equipment will help to bridge the gap between both her and the child.
