This video is from the Discovery Channel and it shows what would happen if a very large asteroid crashed into earth. At first it shows a large shadow going over earth and then the asteroid finally crashes onto the earth’s surface. It shows the surface of the earth bubbling and it turns into lava, and as you can understand, the heat impact of this asteroid would be enough to melt all of the ice in the area as well. The skies then filled up with ash and you can see from the video that the ground looks scorched as well.
This is a truly phenomenal video and it just shows how quickly life on earth could be over in just a few seconds. Either way, who knows whether or not this will ever happen, or if this is what would happen but until it does happen, we will never know.
