This penguin really is cute but she was really scared of water. She used to follow the other penguins up to the water but she never actually went in. She took one look at the water before she turned round and went back to the cliff side. The trainer knew that the penguin saw him as her mother and her father and that was when he decided to get in the water himself.
As soon as the trainer climbed into the water, the penguin followed him right away and the video is well and truly incredible. She became an expert swimmer within a matter of minutes and now she is completely happy and comfortable. It is amazing to see what a bond animals can have with their trainers and it is also amazing to think how close this penguin is to her keeper.
