Champ is one of the many wild horses that live along Salt River in the Tonto National Forest, Arizona. Two colts show up across the river, and then they decide to wade across it. For a brief moment, the filly gets pushed in-between the colts and goes under water. Champ then decides to step in. He saves the filly and this guy caught it all on camera.
Watch this spectacular moment as the horse runs back to his mother. This video offers such valuable insight into the world of river horses and the lengths they will go to when another horse is in danger. At the end, three birds land on Champ, and that is a beautiful ending to this incredible story. We can only imagine how the cameraman caught this on film, so just watch the video, you won’t regret it.
